My Husband, Big D

I LOVE my life!  I have a great and handsome husband who works so hard every day!  He is a financial adviser for a large company.  He got his M.B.A. later in life while working full time for Symantec.  I am so proud of him!  He loves baseball especially the San Francisco Giants and loves politics.  He is a home teacher and serves in the High Priest presidency.  He loves to go to the temple with me monthly.  He loves Mexican food and has more opinions than anyone I know.  He loves chips, peanuts, pretzels, popcorn, and pistachios (in bed).  He loves to read the scriptures and Louis L'Amour books.  He loves biographies too. He does baseball wind ups every night while he watches sports.  He used to jog on our mini trampoline. He is passionate about keeping America strong and free.  He is a delegate for the Republican party.  Dave can talk to anyone about anything!  He is the most determined person I know. He is loyal to me in every way.  The only thing that makes him upset is when I turn on the light at night, having Bruiser (our tiny dog) in our bedroom, cats of any kind, socialism, disrespectful people, long commutes... I am so glad that we are an eternal couple/family and that together we have 12 children. He has helped me raise my 6 children in a very good way.  He has shown my kids how a happily married couple should interact. He writes the best little love notes and brings me roses from our garden.  He never complains about mowing our big back yard or taking out the trash.  He even cleans the bathrooms every Saturday!

Yikes! I Can't Sleep!

They say that sleep makes you happier and healthier!  I am a big believer in getting enough sleep but there comes a time when some things just ruin my sleep!  Last night I took my melatonin and fell right to sleep.  Then in the middle of the night my husband decided to give me a little love pat on the face and ended up jabbing my eyes (ouch!).  Then I went back to sleep and he started to jab me with his feet!  Then I went back to sleep and he started to talk loudly in his sleep.  Enough already!  Then I was awoken by someone SNORING!  It was so loud I thought the roof of my house was going to jump off!  Oh well, enough for getting a good night's sleep.  I guess it's time for a little mud pie...

What Should I Wear Today?

"What should I wear today?" is almost as hard as "What should I make for  dinner tonight?".  Here are a few photos to give you some ideas.  My go-to outfit is always jeans or pants with a nice jacket (of any color or design).  My other no brainer outfit is a denim shirt with colored jeans and riding boots.

THE WHITE HOUSE

Ever wonder what's really in the White House?  I had the opportunity to tour the White House when I interned for Senator Orin Hatch (R-Utah) and it was amazing but they didn't show us the entire house. Here are some interesting facts:
1.  Construction began in 1792 when President John Adams and Abigail Adams resided there.
2.  Total cost to build it was $232,372.
3.  Total square footage is 55,000.
4. The house has six levels.
5.  It has 8 staircases, 3 elevators, 28 fireplaces, 132 rooms, and 35 bathrooms.
6.  The White House fence encloses 18 acres of land.
7.  It takes 570 gallons of white paint to cover the entire exterior.
8.  The property has a bowling alley, a movie theater, a beauty salon, a doctor's office, a florist shop, and a swimming pool.
9.  The White House has a putting green and a jogging track.
(It almost makes you want  to become President of the United States!)
