I am a strong advocate of marriage. It is so important to your health and happiness to be married and now statistics are backing that up! Many couples are delaying marriage for financial reasons but if you look a bit deeper, studies have now found that married couples actually make more money than their single counterparts. People who are serious about being together and who commit to marriage will find that their economics fall in line. Consensus Bureau stats show that the median income of married men is higher than that of single men, $55,958 to $34,634. There is a misconception that one needs to have money before getting married. But the truth is, getting married will help a couple be more focused in their goals and careers and thus it will increase their ability to earn better wages.
