Cleaning is the Best Exercise

Spring into cleaning!  It is finally spring and it is time to smell the cherry blossoms and air out the old. Deep cleaning is in order and while that doesn't sound too fun, turn up the music and get your body moving.  You can actually burn some calories while cleaning.  You'll see results for both you and your home!  I find it funny that people will go to the gym for hours while neglecting their own home chores  and duties.  Spend time at home burning calories in a productive way.  Assuming a weight of 130 pounds, here is a list of calories burned for each hour of chores:
1.  Make your bed-59 calories
2.  Dusting-89 calories
3.  Clean the bathroom-165 calories
4.  Vacuuming-148 calories
5.   Sweeping and Mopping-136 calories
6.   Do the Laundry-77 calories
7.   Work on the Yard-89 calories
