Oh Orange Shoes!

Oh! I just love orange shoes! If you ever see a pair that you like, buy it NOW! Orange shoes are hard to find so if you see one pair that suits you, snag them! My Dad loved the color orange!

Your Go-To Skirt

All you need is one versatile skirt such as a black pencil skirt or better yet, a pleated skirt with swing appeal. You can wear it many ways, like with a blazer and striped shirt and boots, or with a solid color blouse and pumps, or with a sweater and a quilted vest, or with a feminine lacy top and fancy high heels or just with your denim shirt coupled with a sweater on top.

Creating the Perfect Eye Brow

You can create the perfect eye brow by brushing your brows up and then trim the long hairs with a manicure pair of scissors. Then tweeze all of the stray hairs to form a nice arch. Next, take a damp brush and shape your eye brows. You might need to fill in with a brow pencil or brown eye or brow shadow with a fine brush.

Back Combing Come Back

I just think back combing is the next best thing to hot fudge sundaes. Back combing your roots can give even the thinnest hair a voluminous look. I have a daughter or two who are experts at this art. Just take a small clump of hair and back comb it with a fine toothed comb. Continue throughout all of your roots. Then take a soft bristle brush and brush over your hair. VOILA-you look ten times better.

Blue Denim Shirt

The old blue denim shirt is making a big comeback. So go get your chambray shirt out and couple it with some riding boots and black leggings. So chic. You can top it with a boyfriend jacket and jeans.

Overcome the Winter Blahs

Overcoming the winter blues and blahs is not always easy especially if the weather is rotten and you are feeling bad about the hype of Christmas coming to an end. Here are a few suggestions:
1. Find the sun. Go out and get some sunlight.
2. Anticipate a new year. Make goals and believe that a great year is ahead.
3. Organize and complete any unfinished projects. Now's the time to get everything done.
4. Take care of your health. Make new goals to exercise and eat better.
5. Reach out to others. Write thank you notes, call up an old friend, throw a party, serve.
6. Stimulate your mind. Watch movies, read good books, play games, play the piano, take a class.
7. Adjust your attitude. Thoughts promote either good or bad attitudes.
8. Believe in yourself! Believe that you can do anything.
9. Courage. Have the courage to do what you really want to do. Have courage to do what is right!

New Year-New You!

There is nothing better than a fresh new year with a new set of New Year's resolutions. I believe goals are the best way to improve yourself! Each and every year we, as a family, get out the index cards and write down our last year's accomplishments and re-read our last year's New Year's resolutions and then write ten new ones. It is quite amazing how often we end up accomplishing those goals that we write down. When you write your goals down it seems to materialize. It is important to follow the ABC's: ATTITUDE, BELIEVE in yourself, and COURAGE.Quotes for Goals
Acheive Your Goals! Some people want to loose weight or exercise daily or learn a new sport or read more or dress better or learn to shop economically or learn to do their hair better or co-ordinate their outfits better. The possibilities are unlimited. Now is the time to re-evaluate your own life and decide what could be improved. How about learning to cluster your outfits so you can maximize your wardrobe"Goals allow you to control the direction of change in your favor."
