Another Reason To Stay in School

Recent studies have shown that the longer you stay in school and the more education you get, the longer you will live.  Education and longevity are soul mates.  College education is an achievement that portends better jobs, more choices, and perhaps, surprisingly, potentially longer lives.  School is cool.  The more you learn, the more you earn$$$$!

Green With Envy

Green is such a gorgeous color and it is popping up everywhere.  Emerald green, teal green, jade green, turquoise green, pale mint green...I think it is a must to enjoy it in a shirt, blouse, hand bag, shoe, nail polish, jeans/trousers, or skirt.

HAIR Tricks To Make You Look Younger

Want to look younger and not dated with your old hair style?  Well, here are just a few tips to improve your look:
1.  Deep condition your hair-I suggest John Frieda Clear Shine Luminous Glaze for under $10 to apply to freshly shampooed hair, leave on 5 minutes, rinse, dry, and style.  It will leave your hair nourished and glossy and in great condition.  Do once a month.
2.  Color your hair-I love L'Oreal Paris hair color that you can buy for under $10 and is so simple an easy to apply.  I suggest going a shade or two lighter than your normal hair color for a much more youthful look.  Like I have said it before, nothing ages you more than grey hair!!!
3.  Side Part-I like a deep part of hair not down the middle.  It softens the face and more flattering.
4.  Get  a BANG out of life (and cut some bangs)-Nothing will make you look younger than bangs that cover scowl lines and forehead wrinkles.  Pretty movement around the face erases the years.
5.  Youth-ify your ponytails or buns-A sleek straight back pony tail or bun accentuates every flaw in your face so soften things up by making it a bit messy.
6. Layer your hair-The hair cut that's aging versus age defying is layers.  Without them hair doesn't move and nothing makes you look older than hair that doesn't move;  I call it "helmet" hair.  No matter what your length, you need delicate layers to soften your appearance.
7.  Lengthen your hair-You don't have to get out the scissors and cut your hair short just because you have a birthday.  Just get regular trims.  Long hair is beautiful and youthful.  Let's not resort to the days of Callista Gingrich!

Eat Out vs Dine In

Should you eat out at a restaurant or make dinner and dine in?  I certainly like to be served and have my water poured for me, with lots of ice cubes.  I like someone else to make a mess preparing a delicious hot meal.  Forget the dishes, pots, and pans and clean up.  I love to read entire menus.  I love to imagine all of their flavors.  But did you know that eating out is full of calories.  The author of "Eat This, Not That" explained that eating in restaurants is three times more fattening than eating a home-cooked meal.  I know that the sodium, fat, and portion size is huge when you eat out.  So try to prepare your own meals and enjoy a trimmer dress size.  It is worth the effort!  (Plus it is cheaper).
