THE WHITE HOUSE

Ever wonder what's really in the White House?  I had the opportunity to tour the White House when I interned for Senator Orin Hatch (R-Utah) and it was amazing but they didn't show us the entire house. Here are some interesting facts:
1.  Construction began in 1792 when President John Adams and Abigail Adams resided there.
2.  Total cost to build it was $232,372.
3.  Total square footage is 55,000.
4. The house has six levels.
5.  It has 8 staircases, 3 elevators, 28 fireplaces, 132 rooms, and 35 bathrooms.
6.  The White House fence encloses 18 acres of land.
7.  It takes 570 gallons of white paint to cover the entire exterior.
8.  The property has a bowling alley, a movie theater, a beauty salon, a doctor's office, a florist shop, and a swimming pool.
9.  The White House has a putting green and a jogging track.
(It almost makes you want  to become President of the United States!)
