Four Dressing Lessons That Work For Everyone

Here are four dressing lessons that work for everyone:
Lesson No. 1-Proportion is all about balance.  Put oversize with fit pieces.  You don't want to look like a puffy balloon so if you wear a tunic top put it over tight jeans or leggings.  If you are wearing a full skirt then top it off with a form fitting top.  Even out your frame.
Lesson No. 2-Color can trick the eye.  Darker colors can slim.  Choose light and bright color where you are slimmest.  Any deep shade of plum, navy, gray, brown, or evergreen will do the trick.  You don't have to stick to "funeral black" all of the time!!!  Dressing monochromatically head to toe will cause a slimmer effect.  If you want to wear bright colored jeans,  top it off with a thigh length jacket or sweater in a matching tone.
Lesson No. 3-Structure is forgiving.  Fitted and tailored is always more forgiving.  Dart, seamings, peplums,  a shoulder blazer makes you look slimmer.
Lesson No. 4-Diagonal lines make it all better.  Ever wonder why we all look good in a wrap dress?  Thank slimming , curve creating superpowers.  Bias cut seams,  chevron prints, slanted hem lines all
slim and hide flaws.
